The vehicle fuel consumption measurement and display arrangement involves measurement of consumption over successive equal fixed distances and determination of impulse summations for each distance. It retains the measurement principle of the arrangement in patent DE2741118 but achieves clarity of display by using an analogue rather than a digital indicator. The impulse sum is converted into an electrical parameter, e.g. a voltage, which is then displayed on an analogue or quasi- analogue indicator, e.g. using light emitting diodes each corresp. to a measurement value. Intermediate parameter values can be displayed by the simultaneous illumination of two light emitting diodes since they have a slow transition arrangement. Alternatively, an electrical needle pointer instrument may be used (e.g. a moving coil meter).
