Blow moulding thermoplastic container with handle - with tube partially blown before closing mould to pinch handle area

A hollow thermoplastic article is blow moulded from tube by constricting its circumference at at least one part where its walls are close together or even meet. The tube is blow moulded at low pressure in the mould to form a intermediate shape with only partially increased size and the cavity is then reduced while the blowing pressure is increased. Suitable process is provided for producing a container with handle, no material waste, uses only one mould.
