Implantable lead or electrode of amorphous metal alloy - pref. metal glass contg. chromium or soft magnetic alloy with plastics insulation

Implantable electric lead, esp. stimulation electrode lead and/or electrode, has a lead of amorphous metal alloy, pref. a Cr-contg. metal (Fe, Ni or steel) glass of the formula Fe32Ni36Cr14P12B6 or FeCrxP13C7 (sic), where x is 4 or 8.. The lead and/or electrode is specified for use in heart pacemakers, since it meets the requirements for long-term implantation, e.g. high live load strength and great corrosion resistance. The use of a soft magnetic alloy as magnetic screen for an implantable electronic circuit is also specified.
