Pump for liquid refreshment - has indication of liquid pumped by electronic circuit with input from conductivity meter

A pump (1) has a centrifugal impeller in a casing with a volute and an outlet connection (3). It delivers beer but also pumps brine for cleaning and disinfecting the system and holds water when not otherwise in use. The probe of a conductivity meter (4.1,4.2) is fitted on the pressure side of the impeller either in the volute or in the outlet connection. The meter is connected to an electronic amplifying and switching circuit (9). The output of the circuit illuminates indicator lights (6,7,8) according to what liquid is in the discharge of the pump. A clear indication is obtained which avoids delivery of the wrong liquid.
