The greenhouse of double walled construction has one side (1) facing south, move steeply sloping than the other side with its two walls (12,13) fully glazed. Between the two walls (4,5) of the southern side is a space communicating with a water trough (3) at the bottom. The lower parts of the latter walls (4,5) carry inner panels (7,9) made of a porous fleece. Between the outer wall (4) and its inner panel is a black heat conducting metal layer (6). Water is formed into vapour between these walls, and is then condensed again between the walls (1,213) at the other side. This water can be collected by troughs along the inner wall (13) that side, and a trough at the bottom. The collected water can be distributed onto the plants below, pref. by distributor sprays. The south facing outer wall (4) is glazed, and may carry solar heating panels. An alternative arch shaped design can also be used.
