The process is intended for producing warranty test seal labels, as issued by a trade association or inspection authority, to certify compliance with standards. These labels are printed on special foil in prescribed colours, such as black on silver background, and show the name of the authority concerned, and identification marks, serial numbers etc. Instead of using the screen printing throughout, only the overall cover of large areas is so produced, whilst the required symbols and words are offset-printed and the identification letters and figures are printed in letterpress.
