Dry desorbate, esp. solvent recovery from activated charcoal - by passing circulating gaseous inert desorbent through adsorptive drier before condensation

Recovery of substances low in water from activated charcoal, pref. solvents, involves desorption with a circulating gaseous inert desorbent, the desorbent leaving the adsorber filled with activated charcoal being freed from water vapour in an adsorptive drier inserted in the cycle after the adsorber. It is then cooled in the condenser until the rest of the desorbate condenses. Almost anhydrous desorbate can be recovered and the process is economical in operation.
