The heating control employs a programme controller (MP) supplied with constant or variable data relating to the switching times, the switching duration, the water temp. and the quantity of water to be heated. The programme controller controls the heating circuit for the hot water tank, so as to fulfil the hot water requirements using the min energy consumption. Pref. the programme controller (MP) comorises a microprocessor coupled to a number of temo. sensors (9) positioned at different heights in the tank corresponding to the positions of the zone heating devices (4,5,6). The output of the controller (MP) is couoled to the latter and to a temp. regulator (8) for the heating devices.
