2-Hydroxypropyl 2,4-diaminophenyl ethers substituted in the 1-position by one of the radicals -NHC2H5, -NHC6H5, -NHCH2C6H5, -N(C2H5)(C6H5), -OH, -OC2H5, a morpholine radical or a piperidine radical, their production and use as coupler components in oxidation hair dyes, and hair dyeing compositions containing them.
