The roundabout is used as an amusement at fairs and includes jibs rotating round an axis fitted with gondolas at their free ends. The gondolas (21) in addition to moving with the jibs are also capable of turning by more than 360 degrees round axes (22) positioned within the plane of rotation of the jibs and extending transverse to them. The turning axis (22) of the gondola (21) positioned in a horizontal plane lies outside the centre of gravity of the gondola.
