The material includes a phase consisting of cement or concrete bonded with synthetic resin; and the phase may contain reinforcing rods increasing the tensile strength of the material. A second phase is also present, consisting of fibres with different lengths and different thicknesses. The fibres are pref. a mixt. of fibres with specific quality, made of steel, glass, minerals, or chemicals. The fibres are pref. coated with metals or polymers; and the reinforcing rods pref.consist of steel, cables or glass fibre threads or rope- and the rods may be prestressed. The material may also include a steel plate. The composite material is inexpensive but has high shock resistance.
