The pulse generator has capacitors divided into groups. Each group has a switch. The switches are operated simultaneously. Each group also has its own power supply. A changeover switch may be connected in series or parallel with the capacitor groups. Two or more such pulse generators with connections for triggering devices may be combined with the outputs in parallel or in series. The generators are triggered simultaneously. The generator or generators are used for magnetising perment magnets. The advantage lies in not overloading the switches.
