The heat pump which extracts heat from a natural source, has a double piston pump with a main piston (6) which forces the refrigerating medium through a condenser (7) and evaporator (5). The evaporator has another coil in a circuit (1) which circulates the heat supplying medium. The pump has a second piston (10) which circulates the refrigerant through a secondary coil (9) of the condenser and a coil (11) of a heat exchanger. This medium passes through one chamber (13) of a double acting pump which has a second pumping chamber (8) in the first circuit. Between the secondary coil of the condenser and the first pump chamber is a throttle (14). Heat is extruded from the secondary coil (12) of the heat exchanger.
