The self levelling pneumatic suspension for a vehicle seat has a pneumatic damper (8) surrounded by the crossed support levers (6) and with the damper linked to a pump (10) operated by the vertical movements of the seat. The pump has a striker plate which is compressed as the seat moves down and with a high pressure connection (9) to the damper. A pressure control valve (25) regulates the seating. A manual adjustment (24) valve regulates the hardness of the suspension. The pump has telescopic cylinders with two non-return valves. The seat and control system are independent of any vehicle supply and can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle.
