Volumetric measurement of milk yield during milking - using electrode pairs closing height related circuits and display

A method and arrangement for determining the vol. of milk produced by cows during a milking session enable display of the vol. and measurement of the milking efficiency. Individual data for each cow are presented with sufficient accuracy for the farmer simply and without adversely affecting milking. As the milk level rises it causes a number of electrical circuits, each corresp. to a defined level, to be closed. The condition of each circuit is continuously monitored and displayed. The circuits are made by the milk bridging the gap between electrodes (15) immersed in it. The display may show the state of all closed circuits or just the one corresp. to the highest level. The circuits may be scanned periodically. Their switching conditions can be used to regulate control processes.
