Discharge system for mobile concrete mixer - uses multiple section tilting screw conveyor fed from hopper under rear discharge spout

The discharge arrangement for a mobile concrete mixer consists of a screw conveyor (8) at the bottom of a hopper (9) into which mixed concrete is discharged from a spout (6) above. This conveyor includes at least one extension section (13) and the first part is carried by a support (16) underneath with a hinged connection (18) which allows it to be swung upwards or downwards to a discharge point. The tube enclosing the screw sections can be a single tube which extends telescopically. The top of the hopper can carry a flexible skirt (10) which extends upwards. The screw conveyor can be tilted by a screw and nut mechanism (17) operated by a rotary handle (20).
