Parent patent disclosed a modular building unit contg. a frame-supported or self-supporting outer covering of metal, wood or plastic. The interior of the unit parts or sandwich constructions is filled with heat-insulating materials, e.g. glass or mineral fibres, e.g. as panels, or with low density plastic foam, and, in addn., with a panel having density 0.9-1.59 g/cc. In this addn., the interior is filled completely with a sound- proofing as well as heat-insulating panel, (I), opt. together with the glass- or mineral fibre panels. (I) consists of a foamed panel contg. 80-90% high C-contg. material and 10-20% foaming binder e.g. polyurethane. The use of the sound- and heat-insulating panel, (I), as core material in a sound- and heat-insulating door and of (2) the sound- proofing panel having density 0.9-1.59 g/cc, according to parent patent, as core material in a sound-proofing door, is claimed.
