Recoil valve for oil or gas pumping - selectively couples pressurised air supply to piston-cylinder drive for valve closure

The valve has a pin rigidly attached to the valve closure plate and held in a pivot mounting in the valve housing. The pin is acted on by a pneumatic drive unit for moving the closure plate from the open to the closed position. Pref. the pneumatic drive unit has a supply reservoir for the pressurised air and a piston and cylinder device with a coupling rod between the end of the piston rod and the pin. The connection between the reservoir and the piston and cylinder has a control tap and a control valve operated by a control signal. The valve is used in a pumping circuit for natural gas or crude oil.
