The device has a vacuum pump (13), an air suction pipe (19), an air suction valve (20), a secondary air line (22), a control valve ( 23) and an oil separator (24), which are provided for supply of secondary air of an exhaust gas section of an internal combustion engine. The pipe is connected with an inlet (17) of the vacuum pump and sucks fresh air from a surrounding or a fresh air section (5) of the engine in the pump. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with an internal combustion engine.
