A measurement device for an i.c. engine has a chamber (13) contg. a turbine wheel (14) exposed to the fuel flow in the fuel feed pipe. The device is a simple yet accurate differential fuel flowmeter. A second chamber (19) with a second turbine wheel (20) mounted inside it is provided to take account of the return fuel flow (18). The two turbine wheels are coupled together and, so as to determine the differentialflow, are driven in opposite directions on a common axle (21). The resulting rate of revolution of the turbine wheels is measured using a revolution rate sensor (15). The two chambers (13,19) are part of a common housing. At least one of the chambers has an adjustable by-pass channel (22). Only one revolution rate sensor is necessary.
