The piece of jewellery for attaching to the wearer's ear consists of a support piece, such as a clip or a pin (10) attached to the ear, and a decoration. A decorative chain (11) which goes round the neck forms a circle and is detachably fixed to the support piece (10). One link of the chain (11) can have the ear pin through it. Alternatively, the chain (11) can be inserted into one bracket (10b) of the clip (10b,10c). A fastening secures the chain to the support.
