An electropneumatic control mechanism for use on car doors and operated by means of electric impulses which control double-acting pneumatic jacks, comprises a commutator which is operated by electric impulses from an impulse generator and which has two commutation points, consisting of two connections linked alternately to the same impulse generator and permanently linked to a magnet with reversible polarity which activates a distributor controlling the operation of the jack. If desired, the electric circuit could easily be replaced by an electronic one. The mechanism is a simple one, but is also shock-proof.
