Compounds of the formula IMAGE wherein R1 is Cl, Br, CH(CH3)2 or C(CH3)3; A is a single bond, -CH=CH- or -CH2-CH2-; and R2 is H, the cation of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or an alkyl of up to three carbons, are strong hypolipaemic agents.
