摘要
With stiffened thin prefabricated slabs (1) forming the outer leaves, the cavity wall is filled with locally available inert material (3) e.g. gravel. The slabs are of reinforced concrete, timber, metal or plastic, and are from 10 to 20 mm thick. They have individual surface areas of 1.5 to 3 sq. m., and are supported by a substructure of prefabricated beams and columns (10). The slab ends may have chamfered (6, 7) internal edge returns terminating in tongues housing in column grooves (9) a system of triangular tongues and grooves being used to make joints with toe and eaves beams.
