The connection is used to secure a saddle adjustably on a bicycle frame. A tube (2) slides telescopically into a frame node (3, 4) to be secured by a bolted frame integral split sleeve (4a, 4b), and inc. a seal (1) which prevents moisture entering the frame. An insert tube or spigot with a bevelled edge (2b) and a circumferential groove (2a) of half round channel section may be used. The groove locates a sealing washer of round section and seals onto the bore of the frame member. A plug with a truncated conical head, is placed in the end of the spigot with the head exposed obtaining a circular knife edge seal. Spigots with longitudinal barrel grooves, employing a frame-socket cap of which the openings match the spigot barrel profile may also be used.
