High speed mechanical trencher - has battery of rotary percussion tools in tiltable frame incorporating helicoidal percussion drills

Large percussion tubes and/or picking hammers are assembled on a supporting frame which can be tilted by a jack, in a machine for cutting trenches through rock. The tools are rotated at the same time as they hammer the ground, by a mechanism mounted on the frame. Helicoidal drills may be incorporated in the frame for penetrating marl. Holes and cut and drilled by the front tools and opened out by those behind so that a continuous trench is formed. The trencher provides a rapid system of excavating wide trenches.
