The corner clamp is used to connect the adjacent vertical edges of two rectangular slabs (3) at a predetermined angle and is esp. for fixing masonry slabs to a concrete column(1). A nominal gap is left between the two proximal arrisses of the slabs, providing space for tie bolts (8) and is closed by a internal bar (7) with bolt holes. Profiled external straps (6) have a trapezoidal channel shape in horizontal section, with central web holes (10) for sleeved(18) bolts which pass through the inner bar holes to be secured by butterfly nuts (22). The desired profile for the straps is obtd. by folding the legs (14) through an angle (beta) which is equated to 90 deg. minus half of the slab corner angle (alpha).
