An information communication system between a central station and an athlete in training or competition optimises performance. Performance and process are compared with energy consumption. A central transmitter has a number of channels used to allow transmission of information to a personal receiver strapped to the body of the athlete. Each athlete has a transmitter that permits transfer of data back to a central receiver for analysis.
