Particulate coatings to support folding of thermoplastic sheet - to inhibit deviation of fold lines and control fold geometry

Fold lines on thermoplastic sheet may be controlled by coating the face of the sheet alongside the fold lines with a layer of resin bonded particles to provide support against deviation of the fold. Used esp. for folding polyester (polymethylmethacrylate) sheet to obtain parallelepipedic structural forms following thermal softening of the fold zones, esp. over fold lengths greater than 1 metre.
