Solar or wind power collecting device - uses sources of heat and cold acting on thermomagnetic wheel rim generating force within applied magnetic field

The power generating appts. includes an magnetic wheel (60) with a U-section rim (61) to allow the evacuation of 'used' fluid into a lower container. The rim is made of a nickel-iron alloy having a high thermoelectric coefficient. Sources of heat (61) and cold (62) are situated above the rim, separated by an magnetic distributor (63) lying between two pole pieces of a magnet or electromagnet. In a tropical region, sea water is used as the source of heat- at about 30 degrees - whilst underground water at about 7 degrees provides the cold temperature. The variation in magnetic properties with the change in temperature acts to produce a force on the rim of the wheel (f).This may be used to produce a continuous motion or a stepping motion as required. In an alternative arrangement the magnetic field may lie radially w.r.t. the wheel instead of axially.
