摘要
Alloy for bearing shells is composed of 2.3-18% Cd, 0.1-1.5% Co and/or Ni and =77.5% Pb. The alloy may also contain up to a total of 3.0 wt.% reinforcing elements as follows: 0.001-1.0% Nb, 0.001-1.0% Ca, 0.001-1.0% Ag, 0.001-1.0% Ba, 0.001-1.0% Cu, 0.001-1.0% Al, 0.001-2.5% Sc, 0.001-2.5% Te, 0.001-2.5% Y, 0.001-2.5% As, 0.001-2.5% Mg, 0.001-0.5% V, 0.001-0.5% Ti, 0.001-0.5% Zn, 0.001-1.0% Si, 0.001-1.0% Na, 0.001-0.25% Zr, 0.001-0.25% W, 0.001-0.25% Hf, 0.001-0.25% Mo, 0.0001-0.25% O, 0.00001-0.25% N and 0.0001-0.25% B. The alloy pref. contains is not 0.15 wt.% of any of the impurities Sn, Sb or Fe. The alloys are useful in the prodn. of cast bearings for heavy duty applications such as marine engines, ball mills, compressors, railway locomotives, etc. They are capable of long periods of use at 120-180 kp/cm2 and temps. of 80-140 degrees, C and will withstand occasional exposure to temps. of up to 165 degrees C.
