Shock absorbing sole against navicular disease - of compressible material fixed to plate held by shoe

A plate to be fixed to the hoof of a horse and held by the shoe has a downwards projecting pad of compressible material which forms a shock absorber, protecting the navicular bone when the horse is turning and rests its foot on the edge of the inside bone. When the horse puts down its foot horizontally the pad which is hollow and is filled with a paste of silicone material forming an additional shock absorber, rests on the ground with the heels of the shoe also.
