Orthopedic shoeing for treating navicular disease of horse, has clamp held at plate to facilitate turning foot of horse and minimizing compression of navicular bone, and branches beveled of internal and external sides on shoeing face
The shoeing has a clamp held at a plate to facilitate turning a foot of a horse and minimizing compression of navicular bone by perforans (A). Heel-pad raises a horse heel to reduce tension of the perforans, traction on phalanx and compression of a navicular bone against 2-3 phalangeal articulations (B). Shoeing branches are beveled of an internal side and an external side on a shoeing face in contact with a hoof.
