Point protector for pin of jewellery - is curved wire with rings fixed to it through which pin is inserted

The point protector (1) is for a pin (9) and is used for jewellery. It consists of a curved wire (2) and one branch of this has two rings (3,4) joined to it which are aligned with the end of the curve (5). The opposite extremity of the wire has a ring (7) joined to it and the pin is inserted through this and through the other rings with its point resting against the end of the curve. When it is open, the ring on the extremity of the wire is not aligned with the other rings.
