Drawing roll assembly for horizontal continuous casting plant - where three driven rolls are located in triangular frame rotating round cast billet

The axes of three driven rolls are arranged as a triangle round the cast billet being drawn out of a mould. Each roll is located in a housing which forms an oscillating lever located on a cylindrical housing, which is rotated by a gearwheel and is concentrically located round the billet. The three housings are joined to each other by flexible elements to make a closed triangular frame surrounding the billet. The invention provides a compact unit which minimises the pressure applied by each roll (1) on the billet.
