The towed vehicle, partic. a camping caravan, is of generally rectangular shape. It has a pyramidal component (2) mounted on its forward end and shaped to fit against the latter. This component can be removable from the caravan etc, and greatly reduces wind resistance, and consequently fuel consumption of the towing vehicle, while avoiding the need for modifications to the caravan itself. It may be made of a thermoplastics material which is moulded or injection moulded e.g. rigid plastics foam. Alternatively, it can be an inflatable structure covered with e.g. canvas or metal sheeting.
