Automatic assembly for leaf spring mounted TV masks - uses movable mask and screen supports with cams for springs to and from screen mounts

A mash is supported by leaf springs engaging over lugs on the screen, by an appts. which comprises a screen, an upper support frame supported on ballas and a rigid lower support frame to allow accurate positioning of the screen. A vertically movable plate, supported below the lower frame edge region carries a number of slides movable in three right angled directions. Each slide carries a resilient cam contoured to hook behind a mash leaf spring adjacent the screen lug and a hook which hooks behind the spring free end. Retraction of the slide draws the leaf spring off the lug so that automatic mounting and dismounting of the mash can be effected. The movement of the slides allows accurate positioning for different sized mashs.
