Premix chamber for dosing additive into agricultural spray - uses spray pump delivery to mix additive into liq.

The spraying system has pump delivering liq. from storage tank to a filter upstream of spray nozzles' The premixing chamber has a removable cover and high level, opposed inlet and outlet connections in a pipe line in parallel with that directly linking the pump to the filter. The base of the chamber has a discharge valve and the interior of the chamber is equipped with a graduated scale to measure volumetrically the additive loaded into the dosing chamber. The chamber is pref. built into the storage tank, as close as possible to an access port. The discharge valve is pref. actuated by axial movement of a rod which extends through the cover of the chamber to engage a rotary nut. The volumetric graduation scale is pref. marked on the rod. Used in prepn. of agricultural sprays for e.g. fungicidal, bactericidal, insecticidal, disinfectant etc. Accurate control of dilution of treatment additives. Mixing is effected without manual stirring. The equipment is simple, inexpensive and easy to use.
