Hydroponic cultivation trays moulded from expanded polystyrene - to force growth by thermal differential effects

Plant support dish for hydroponic cultivation is made from thermal insulation matl. such as thick walled expanded polystyrene. The insulation can maintain a temp differential, of about 5 deg C, between the root and crown zones of plants placed therein, to promote accelerated growth rates. Opt tray profile is stackable. The rim of the tray is pref stiffened by lining with a length of adhesive coated tape, which may be metallic or of e.g. polypropylene. Typically the thickness of the tray base is about 5 cm, and the tray profile is stackable.
