Fuel saving device for IC engine vehicle - includes valve automatically cutting fuel supply during deceleration phases

The fuel economising system for a vehicle includes a sensor (A) detecting the speed of rotation of the engine, and comparing it with a preset value. A second sensor (B) detects the position of the accelerator in order to determine whether the drive wishes to slow down the vehicle. If the vehicle is to slow down, and the engine speed extends a certain set value, then the supply of fuel to the engine is cut off by a valve (D). This condition is indicated to the driver by a panel light or other warning (C). When the speed of the engine falls to the appropriate value, the supply of fuel is reconnected to keep the engine running. During deceleration the engine does not need fuel, and tends to discharge it through the exhaust unburnt. This device avoids waste of this fuel.
