Process for recovering 3-nitrobenzoic acid

3-Nitrobenzoic acid is recovered from a mixture of 2-, 3- and 4- nitrobenzoic acids by basifying to a pH of 8-12 and then adding an acid to reduce the pH to 1.5-3.5 to precipitate the desired compound.
