摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently remove dissolved as well as suspended substances contained in the water, by allowing the water containing metallic ions to contact with a granular contact medium having the action by which the acid materials generated as by-product due to the reaction of said ions and the dissolved substances are neutralized or said ions are hydrolyzed. CONSTITUTION:The water containing such metallic ions as aluminum sulfate, ferric sulfate, ferrous sulfate and aluminum chloride is allowed to contact with a granular contact medium capable of neutralizing the acid materials generated as by- product through chemical reactions between said metallic ions and the dissolved substances and/or capaple of chemically hydrolyzing such metallic ions so that the dissolved as well as suspended substances are removed from the water. Said granular contact medium is granular materials having 100-10,000mum diameter and is made of magnesia, magnesia clinker, doromite etc. The operation allowing the granular contact medium to contact with the water to be treated is conducted by applying fluidizing layer, packed layer, perfectly agitation-mixing process etc.
