SAND EROSION TEST METHOD AND ITS TEST UNIT

PURPOSE:To enable reproducible test, by high frequency longitudinal oscillation of test piece to give uniform and quick wear on the test piece and measuring the amount of wear. CONSTITUTION:The magnetostriction generation unit consisting of the amplifier 1, oscillator 2, vacuum tube voltmeter 3 and horn 4 is used, to give high frequency longitudinal oscillation to the test piece 6 fitted at the tip of the horn 4. At the bottom of the test vessel 7 filled with solid particles 8, the diffusion plate 9 consisting glass filter of perforated material is located and liquid is delivered from the lower surface through this diffusion plate 9 in the uniform speed distribution to form the liquid layer in the test vessel 7 so that the solid particles 8 are in floating in possibly uniform distribution state. Ion replacement water flowed in the test vessel 7 through the diffusion plate 9 is overflowed to the external vessel 11 and returned to the test vessel 7 through the circulation path 13.
