SAND EROSION TEST METHOD AND ITS TEST UNIT

PURPOSE:To make excellent the reproducibility with uniform wear over the test surface of test piece, through high frequency longitudinal oscillation of test piece. CONSTITUTION:The magnetostriction unit consisting of the amplifier 1, oscillator 2, vacuum voltmeter 3, and horn 4 is used, and high frequency logitudinal oscillation is given to the test piece 6 fitted to the tip of the horn 4. The pully 9 is geared to the external circumference of the test vessel 7 filled with the solid particles 8 and the test vessel 7 is turned with the motor 10. Ion exchanger water is fed to the inner vessel 18 via the water supply path 17 and it is returned to the inner vessel 18 again from the circulation part 20 via the water pool of the external vessel 19 with overflow. The solid particles layer is made wet the ion exchange water through the filter from the inlet 16 by means of capillary tube phenomenon.
