DEVICE FOR AUTOMATICALLY CORRECTING SKEW OF GATE TYPE LOAD HANDLING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To automatically correct the skew of a gate type load handling machine by detecting the critical deviation angle of a bridge caused when the skew occurred at handling machine and controlling the moving speed of a drive truck at the delay or the lead side by the signal thus detected. CONSTITUTION:Supporting legs 2A, 2B installed with a bridge 1 are branched at the lower portions thereof in fork state, and are installed with drive trucks 3A, 3B and driven trucks, respectively. The bridge 1 is rotatably installed through rotatable bearings 5 at the left side end thereof at the top of the left side leg 2A. A turning angle detector 14 consists of limit switches LS1, LS2 secured to the upper arm 26, and switch actuators C1, C2 secured to the lower arm 27. When the critical deviation angle of the bridge 1 is detected by the detector 14, the latter starts an acceleration or deceleration motor 9 at the trucks 3A, 3B to rotate a driven shaft 18 through a planetary gear reduction gear 7 to thereby control the drive trucks 3A, 3B.
