MANUFACTURE OF COLUMN FOR PULL-DOWN TYPE HYDRAULIC PRESS

PURPOSE:To decrease internal defects and facilitate manufacture by templating a rolled steel plate then butt-welding the end faces to form a column plate, forming =2 kinds of column plates of deviated joining positions, superposing plural sheets thereof alternately, and melt-sticking the adjacent joining surfaces of the inside and outside ends thereby forming these into one-piece construction. CONSTITUTION:After a rolled steel plate is templated, the respective end faces are butt-welded to form column plate. These column plates are made into two or more kinds of deviated joining positions. Plural sheets of such column plates of differing joining positions are alternately superposed, and the adjacent joining surfaces of the inside and outside ends of the respective plates are melt-stuck over the entire circumference, whereby they are made into one-piece construction.
