INCREASING AND KEEPING WATER TEMPERATURE IN SWIMMING POOL BY UTILZING SOLAR HEAT

PURPOSE:To advance the beginning time of using the swimming pool and elongate the usable period during a day thereof by a method wherein a heat absorbent floating mat is floated on the surface of water as a method to raise the water temperature of an outdoor pool by utilizing solar heat and insulate heat at night. CONSTITUTION:The long rectangular floating mat 1 is floated on the entire surface of water in the swimming pool P. The lower surface of the floating mat 1 is consisting of a transparent synthetic resin sheet 3 while the upper surface thereof is consisting of a black synthetic resin sheet 2. Air cells 5 sealing air tanks 4 are arranged in all the space between the sheets and a transparent air mat 6 is sealed therebetween. According to such constitution, solar heat is absorbed by the black sheet 3 and warms the water by a direct heat transmission while the air tanks in the floating mat 1 may be utilized as a heat insulating layer at night. Further, the floating mat 1 is contacted with the surface of water closely, therefore, separation due to wind will never be caused.
