PURPOSE:To improve damping effect of the vane without reducing fluid performance of an axial-flow rotary machine in such a way that a laminate metal piece is inserted between a rotor and the dovetail of a vane, and both ends of the laminate metal piece are brought into contact with the appropriate region of the vane plane. CONSTITUTION:A laminate metal plate 7 equipped with a groove part 7a is inserted into a dovetail part 1 which is a connection of a vane 2 and a rotor in a rotary machine. Thus, damping effect of the vane 1 can be at all times maximized within operating region, and fluid performance is in no case to be lowered.
