PURPOSE:''BUSHI'' such as dried bonito is tightly sealed in a substantially impermeable package or an air-tight vessel together with a deoxidization composition to control insect pests of BUSHI. CONSTITUTION:A deoxidizing composition consisting of an iron powder, reductive inorganic salt, polyphenol, reductive saccharide and reductive polyhydric alcohol, is tightly sealed with a permeably package that has moisture permeability of 10-150g/m2.24hr at 25 deg.C and 75RH difference and shows 50-90% equilibrium RH, when only the deoxidization material is tightly sealed, to prepare a deoxidization material. BUSHI such as dried bonito is tightly sealed in a substantially impermeable package or air-tight vessel together with the above deoxidization material.
