COMPUTING APPARATUS OF PH VALUE CALCULATED IN TERMS OF TEMPERATURE OF PH STANDARD SOLUTION

PURPOSE:To compute a pH value calculated in terms of temperature of pH standard solution accurately, by utilizing a Bates's expression which is the experimental expression of pH value calculated in terms of temperature. CONSTITUTION:The following operational expression (Bates's expression) is stored in an arithmetic device 1 consisting of a microcomputer. pH value calculated in terms of temprature=A/T+B+CT+DT2 (in the expression, A, B, C, D are a constant determined by the kind of pH standard solution, T is an absolute temperature of pH standard solution). Temperature data (absolute temperature) of said pH standard solution is inputted to the device 1 by an input apparatus 2 and the result of operation is obtained from an output apparatus 3. The accurate pH value calculated in terms of temperature is obtained because the pH value calculated in terms of temperature of the pH standard solution is computed by the device 1 on the basis of the temperature data of the pH standard solution inputted by the apparatus 2 and said operational expression.
